Hagia Sophia, officially the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque (Ayasofya-i Kebir Cami-i Şerifi) is a mosque and major cultural and historical site. Originally a Greek Orthodox church, the site has changed between being a mosque to a museum and now presently a mosque again since the conquest of the Byzantine Empire by the Ottoman Empire.
